Do Not Accept This Dollar

Look closely. See anything missing??? You guessed it, IN GOD WE TRUST. Please help do this... refuse to accept these when they are handed back to you. I received one from the Post Office as change and I asked for a dollar bill instead..the lady just smiled and said way to go, so she had read this e-mail...please help out. If ever there was a reason to boycott something, THIS IS IT!!!! DO NOT ACCEPT THE NEW DOLLAR COINS AS CHANGE. Together we can force them out of circulation.
THIS REALLY IS SO SAD TO ME. TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS AND ALSO SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE.

NBC had a poll on this question.

86% to keep the words, IN God We Trust and God in the Pledge of Allegiance
14% against

So WHY are we catering to such a small minority??

It makes me physically sick to think our nation is denying the very foundation this country was built on. GOD

If you look carefully at the SIDE of the coin, IN GOD WE TRUST is on the edge of the coin. I saw this as my daughter prepares for a first lost tooth from her 5 1/2 year old. It is there.

I couldn't believe when I heard news of this. It's astonishing that we do cater to such a small minority. The Family Research Council is a wonderful organization that is very active to protect, as you said Jill, our country's very foundation. Check out their website if you haven't been: http://www.frc.org/get.cfm?c=HOME

Focus on the Family has put together an incredible 13 week program called the Truth Project. In week 10 they discussed how far American has come from her Christian heritage. I wrote an entry on what I learned. Here's a link to that: http://called2create.blogspot.com/2007/08/what-is-truth-and-once-you-define-it.html

Here's a link to the Truth Project too: http://www.thetruthproject.org/

We are the light of the world, and we do need to stand up for what we believe! Way to go Jill for publishing this!

sorry, but - money is money. church is church - god is god - etc.

while i'm not against those words being on the money i use, i'm don't have a problem with it either.

and i truly believe in separation of church and state. and, i was raised lutheran - went to church nearly every week, etc.

i just don't think it's that big of an issue.
