HAPPY EASTER!!

He Lives
To Take Away My Shame
And He Lives
Forever I Will Proclaim
That The Payment For My Sins
Was The Precious Life He Gave
And Now He IS Alive
And There IS An Empty Grave!!
~MY REDEEMER LIVES~
I hope that your Easter is a reminder of what Jesus has done for all of us! He died so that we may live! But he did not stay in that grave he rised up and is our living God!!!
Happy Easter!

Dedication verses Baptism

I come from a family that was raised Lutheran. We (my brother and I) were then also raised in the Lutheran church and was taught to believe that we are to baptise babies. Well I am now a mother of 3 and a Christian and have had my 2 eldest children dedicated to the Lord. Dedication process includes the following: the pastors of the church has our family come up to the altar; they announce the name of our baby and what that name means; then they pray for such child and give that baby to the Lord (meaning that we dedicate this child to you God and pray that He will direct his or her path).

Why we do this: We Dedicate because we believe that it should be the choice of our children to be baptised. We believe that a baptism is something sacred and that it should be made when you can fully understand WHY people get baptised. At our church they have a baptism class so that you learn what it means to be baptised and read all the scripture pertaining to baptism. NOTE: I was baptised as a baby and then I chose to be baptised AGAIN as an adult.

NOTE:In the bible there is not one mention of a baby being baptised.

So like I said before, I was raised Lutheran. Some of my family think that this gesture is "weird". Well all I have to say is that we all have the right to believe what it is that we believe. I will have Samuel Patrick dedicated this Sunday to our Lord. THAT is what I have chosen to do~!

Can I get an AMEN!

P.S. I read through this again and this could be taken the wrong way... I was just merely educating you about the dedication process not saying anything is the matter with baby baptism!

Back to my Faith

When I decided to blog I thought it would also be a great outlet to share my FAITH and also my experiences. I have been really digging into the word (God's word) and have some things I would love to share!
Did you know that no matter what God loves you??!! That he chooses to love us through any circumstance we may be in! Did you know that we have to choose to love??!! It is not just how we feel "right now". When I said my vows to my husband they were not just empty words that tradition has you say at the altar. When you say "in sickness and in health" or "for richer or for poorer" or even " in good times and in bad" that you are suppose to really mean it. It is easy to be "in love" when things are going smoothly and finances are OK. But when all hope seems lost, do you just turn your back on the one you said you love before God and all your family? NO... you choose to LOVE. It is a choice you make that takes a lot of hard work! It is a choice you make to LOVE NO MATTER WHAT. People are so easy to write off someone in their life when they get hurt or offended, but the best thing you can really do (for you and for them) is to Love them anyway~!
I CHOOSE TO LOVE! DO YOU?

The obvious

I do realize that my blog name does not fit my status anymore and should be changed, but I have grown quite attached to it. 2 Peas In My Pod was created with a yearning for my third so I feel like Sammy was still included. So I would love to hear your suggestions. My thought was that I could just add something in the text under the title that would include Samuel. Do you feel like I need to change the name all together?? Give me ideas!!!

I am back!!

As all of you know I have been a little busy with my new family status and have had little to no time to blog. I do however still check in and read all of your posts! I thought that if I gave my blog a fresh look it would inspire me to post more often, so we will see how that goes! I will try to let this be part of my routine, a way to vent/connect/share whats going on in this chaos I call my life! So much to share, not enough hours in the day! Looking forward to a new year!

Today I turn 30

Well it is true..... I am 30 today. I don't really know what to think about that. I know most people say that "age is just a number" or that "you are as old as you feel". My response to that is "to each their own".
Although I have accomplished alot in my life such as getting married and having 3 beautiful and healthy children, I can't help to feel a little unsettled. In all the chaos of my life I feel that maybe I have lost myself. Today I am reflecting on how I got to where I am and what led me up to this. The bad times the good ones and the in-betweens have all crossed my mind today. ( it is only 7:30am)
I think that my lack of enthusiasm is due to the fact that I am not at a job that I love. Although it is a very convenient job it is not something I LOVE doing. I miss interacting with other people. Right now I think working at the grocery store sounds pretty appealing. No, but what I really want to do is work at a salon. I would love the company of woman all day! A place to get my creative side working again! I have said many times before that doing hair is like art on a head!
Anyway...... I know I may be a downer today, but I am feeling a little down to be honest.
The only thing that keeps me smiling is my little ones that bring constant humor to my life! That I am truly grateful for!

A post about my Buddies.

Ok.. I am going to totally talk about my breasts for a minute.
I have been told time and time again that the engorging will end. Well I feel as though I am just not getting it right here. I go from not producing enough to producing WAY to much. I am having a day with the latter. I am 2 months in and thought that by now they would know what to do. BUT NO.
Anyway...... This to will pass. I get to feed my baby the best stuff and he seems to be happy and content! ( not to mention growing just fine) He is a big boy!!! Love those rolls on his legs!!
I will be posting some new photos soon! (when I get a free moment!)

I am trying...

to keep up with all that is in my life. I am really trying! I hope that I still have a few readers left??? But I will say that this 3rd baby has been an adjustment.

  • My house will never be as clean as it once was.
  • I may not shower as often as I once did.
  • Eating is a luxury (my kids eat...I meant I don't get too)
  • Sleep is overrated
  • Laundry piles up
  • I didn't brush my teeth yesterday.. hey I am being honest here.
  • Husband????..... what husband? Ohhh him ... I forgot about him

BUT LET ME JUST SAY THIS..................... It is all worth it! Love this little guy! Love my family! Love my chaos!

Please stay tuned!!!................
